Kick / by E

There's something irresistible about Your Boy Tony Braxton's music which is both classic and fresh, a modern/alt take on soft-core 80's/90's pop-rock.

His latest video for single "Kick" (off Canadian rapper Shad's surprise Summer album, Adult Contempt, under the moniker Your Boy Tony Braxton) is an endearing throwback that personifies that sound perfectly; clean, tight choreography inspired by Janet Jackson and energetic until the last second. It's familiar but unique and we just can't get enough.

Check out this latest video below and be sure to watch the video for his last single "Good (Enough)" (because it's so simple and underwhelming in the loveliest way and every single lyric is deserving of your time). Though it may have slipped quietly past your radar this Summer, make a point to listen to the full album, Adult Contempt, and really listen from start to finish: we promise you, there may not have been a weirder, more unexpected, or sweeter album released this year.

Check out those sites and make time to dance around to "Kick".
