Hit It /  by E

       American Authors'

Oh, What A Life

comes out March 4 and it's amazing so you should really start falling for their music now and pre-order the album from

iTunes

.

"Hit It" is available for download right now and with a melody that will not leave your head (in a good way) and a chorus that's impossible to ignore ("up and down, jump off the deep end, wreck this house, I should have left with you, no way out, I met your best friend, she went down and I should have made my move with you, messed up now, pissed off the in crowd, break this down and my eyes are set on you, on you, we know now I'm not your best friend, broke all vows, I'll make it up to you") you should already be singing along to this song.

Anywhere But Here /  by E

It's SafetySuit Saturday again and so much has happened for the site this week that I can't wait to see how it all plays out. While I sit here (impatiently) waiting, you can listen to the orchestral version of "Anywhere But Here" because it's gorgeous.

The strings sound just as hopeful and desperate as the lyrics themselves and the percussion picks up, perfectly, in time to propel a strong vocal chorus forward; it's just another perfect song from an amazing band.

Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da/ I've Just Seen A Face/ In My Life /  by E

The Beatles first arrived in the US fifty years ago today and, while their first few albums featured songs which were simple and shared so many of the same characteristics (The Beatles loved using 'love'), their music only got better with age. They knew that the 'secret' to long term success was to age with your fan base and they did just that, with incredible ease, and, because they were so amazing and their catalog so immense, there is no 'best song' from The Beatles, only hundreds of songs to be played on repeat and used for any occasion.

"In My Life" The Beatles (I maintain that

Rubber Soul

 is their best album)
