The Luck
True North EP
London-based brother/sister duo The Luck (Max and Esmay Luck) have released their True North EP. Produced by Paul Broucek and engineer/mixer Ed Cherney, True North is as thoughtful as it is catchy, making us all curious to see what more the duo has in store.
With its deep Americana sound, "True North" has an adventurous vibe to it with lyrics which seek to understand who you are and how to follow your own heart. Killer harmonies ensue in "Vertigo" with the duo's perfectly complimented voices and "If This Is Love", a fun and up-tempo ballad about finding your way through a break-up. "Holding On", the EP's last track, is a beautifully introspective piece, inspired by their mom and centered on the struggle of " watching over someone you love and helping them through tough times".
