The Music Rag

Lifeboats by E

An unassuming video eases you into Wyland's dreamy sound while hypnotically lulling riffs and honest lyrics pull you in with a palpable ease before an enticingly cinematic bridge has you ready to hit replay.

Check out the video for the band's latest single, "Lifeboats" and see what lead singer, Ryan Sloan, has to say about the band and their music.

God of A Girl by E

Full clear vocals take center stage in Georgi Kay's Carrie inspired "God of A Girl" and a heavy dose of AWOLNATION-esque dig-your-heels-in synth pairs nicely with an intricately layered melody that gives it just enough vitality that by the time that chorus hits hard and fast you'll already be nodding your head, eyes closed, and soaking it all in.

Dark and deep and honest and ornate, it's one you should keep in your back pocket, so head to the sites below for a free download and look for her EP ORIGINS to be released in early 2016.

Cool Waves, Young Blood by E

Home Lives' enigmatic mix of assured alt-rock riffs, prominent pop beats, and obscure but pointed indie style lyrics clash in the band's debut "Cool Waves, Young Blood" making for a tragic but increasingly addictive track, further highlighted by a wonderfully twisted video that starts to spiral slowly, then leans into it wholeheartedly.

The breaking single is addictive from its start, but when it hits that bridge it's custom made for windows down, volume up, loud and poor scream singing that lends a certain invincibility to the otherwise hopeless situation and immediately secures itself as one you've got to listen to all over again.
