The recurring "I'm searching for something that I can't reach" plays out like the track's bitter motif while lines "saying that I love him but I know I'm gonna leave him" and "and I swear I hate you when you leave, but I like it anyway" work double duty in an attempt to verbalize the intricate mixture of good and bad, all while the pretty melody and hard hitting rhythm work to do the same.
