90 by E

Pompeya released their music video for their track "90" from Tropical and it's just as dreamy and hypnotic as the song itself. It may be the best song off the band's debut album so make sure to watch the video below before falling in love with their sound, then support the band by getting the limited edition 12" double vinyl for Tropical now.

Visions by E

I briefly mentioned the release of this music video last week, but I was in the beginning throes of finals week and wasn't too concerned with talking about any music and, right now, I'm just waiting for a phone interview to start and really think you should pay more attention to this song (because it's completely amazing).
That composition is so fantastic, infusing a soft and steady guitar riff with vocal riffs that soar over the music and bring you back to a slowed melody and each perfectly constructed verse. Lyrics that read "I was always fond of the notion, that I was drenched in some spirit ocean, and all my visions merely the symptom of eyes open so wide, that I could peer into the other side" and "you're the ghost that I was born to know, and you're the throat from which the echo was thrown" are amazing and kind of perfect.
Check out the great video below and pay attention to the song's fantastic music and lyrics.

A Tribe Called Red by E

Angel Haze released the first single from her upcoming album Dirty Gold, available March 3rd and it's kind of supremely fantastic. The lyrics are amazing, that composition is a gorgeously perfect contrast to her fast lines, and her personal introduction to the song, as heard on the SoundCloud track (listen here), is amazing.
Angel Haze may be the best female rapper to show up in years (probably because she places the emphasis on poetry first) and her lyrics speak honestly with unforgiving realities and, at only twenty-two years of age, the artist's (official) debut album Dirty Gold, looks to promise a lot of great music to come.

Dance of Life by E

I have an interview this morning that might change the course of today's New Music Monday updates a bit, but the artist's music is great so it's worth it and I don't have to work at my actual paying job today so you should get more music than Monday's past.
Amy Weber teamed up with Sean Kingston to release her video "Dance of Life" and it's upbeat and fun. The video generically captures the fun/youthful sound in the song as all videos in this genre do, but the song's the bit that you should pay attention to. The piano is gorgeous (when it's present), the beat is fun, Kingston is always great (maybe that's because of personal memories but, really, you have to admit that his music is always upbeat and sing-along-worthy), and Weber's vocals are sweet and pure and back up wonderfully energetic lyrics that you're going to be singing along to by the second listen. Check out the video for "Dance of Life" below and listen to Weber's first single, "Let It Rain" because it's addictive, fun, and perfect for the road trip you've got to make to head home for the holiday break.
