Fall Aprt by E

There's a surprising depth to Maja Skillz so robotic sound in her pretty, melodic vocals and disjunct beats that carry as much meaning as her open lyrics.

Alt-pop project by Mari Norden, Maja Skillz's "Fall Aprt" is a carefully put and fully honest piece of dance-ready melancholia that deservers your attention, so head to the sites and check out the single.

FRANKIE COSMOS - IS IT POSSIBLE / SLEEP SONG - Press Release by E

Frankie Cosmos is back with her most infectious album to date with Next Thing due out on April 1st on Bayonet Records. The album features the strongest songwriting we've seen yet from the project's mastermind Greta Kline.

Today Kline gives us the new video for the song "Is It Possible / Sleep Song" which was recorded entirely on her camcorder. The foreground features Greta Kline, Lauren Martin, Aaron Maine, David Maine, Luke Pyenson, Gabby Smith, and Gabby's dog Frankie and the backgrounds were shot in NYC, or on trips out of town (in the car, upstate NY, at a Cende & Porches show in Pennsylvania, etc.). Klein tells us "the song is about questioning your surroundings and wondering about change, so I saw it fitting to have all the band members, past and present, be singing in the video, together & alone, floating in front of scenes that show movement & rest."

Frankie Cosmos and her band will also be touring the US extensively this spring as well as stopping by SXSW in Austin. All tour dates can be found below.

WATCH CHVRCHES VIDEO FOR "CLEAREST BLUE" - Press Release by E

CHVRCHES debuted the video for their single "Clearest Blue" with MTV on Friday evening. The video was directed by Warren Fu (Daft Punk, Haim, The Killers).

"Clearest Blue" is on CHVRCHES' sophomore album Every Open Eye, which was released in the Fall of last year. The album debuted on the charts as the #1 Alternative Album,  #8 overall album on the Billboard 200, #7 Current Album, and the #1 Rock Album.

Late last year Iain Cook, Martin Doherty and Lauren Mayberry returned to their own Alucard Studios - a converted flat on the southside of Glasgow where their stunning debut was conceived - and began developing ideas they had recorded in venues during their time on the road. The band found riffs, loops and melodies they wanted to develop or started from scratch on the synths, pads and machines they had been gathering in their basement to create the instrumentals of the songs. Vocal melodies were developed as the songs took shape with the lyrics added last, developed from words and sentences from notebooks Mayberry had kept on tour.

The band will be back in North America this Spring, continuing their massive world tour supporting the album. They tour kicks off on the ParAhoy! cruise hosted by their good friends Paramore in early March. They'll then make appearances at Buku Music & Arts Project in New Orleans, Coachella, Governor's Ball, Bonnaroo, and Firefly Music Festival, with a string of headlining dates in between. Jordan Klassen Reveals 'Javelin' - Album Streaming by E

Jordan Klassen's gorgeous new album Javelin is out today on Nevado Music and you can hear it streaming now.

The follow up to 2013's acclaimed Repentance, Javelin sees Klassen depart from the eloquently spare folk of its predecessor, adding ambient and rhythmic elements to vivid Technicolor arrangements in what is his most vibrant and vital album to date.

Klassen recorded Javelin at Sonic Ranch studio in Tornillo, just outside El Paso in Texas. He produced the album himself and plays almost all the instruments. The songs on Javelin spring from hard experiences-namely, from Klassen's struggle with depression and his mother's diagnosis with breast cancer, now thankfully in remission. Despite the fears and despairs that motivated these songs, there is always a kernel of hope illuminating the music from the inside.

Jordan Klassen has also announced his first string of North American tour dates in support of the album, with a full US tour to be announced soon. All dates can be found below.
