Clare Maguire x Suki Waterhouse = "Elizabeth Taylor" - Press Release by E

Suki Waterhouse put her directorial spin on Clare Maguire's new single "Elizabeth Taylor" - the resemblance in the eyes is pretty uncanny. Incredible song from an incredible artist.  From Suki "Clare has a resilience similar to Elizabeth Taylor; a reluctance to apologize for who she is."

Clare Maguire listens to all sorts of artists these days; they have only one thing in common. "They are true to themselves," she says. This, more than any genre or sound or era, is all that matters to the 27-year-old singer-songwriter right now. "It's a certain attitude that I'm really drawn to," she explains, "and it really doesn't matter what music it is, and it doesn't matter who the person is. That's the inspiration for me."

This much is clear in Maguire's new music. After a moment away from the spotlight, the Brummie chanteuse is back in full force - still with that amazing, swooping, haunting voice, but with more raw, fragile vulnerability. Clare wrote the majority of this album at home on her piano, with her sausage dogs, on a diet of pizza and cups of tea, listening to everything from Rihanna to Johnny Cash, "If it sounds a bit rough around the edges, it's fine," she reasons, "because that's who I am."

Clare Maguire's album Stranger Things Have Happened comes out 5/27 on Republic.

Larger Than This Life by E

Cinematic in a climactic sense, Morgan Mallory's "Larger Than This Life" is impossible to pass over and harder still to forget.

Deceptively quiet, story driven verses build to a resounding anthem of a chorus with thought-provoking lyrics, prominent beats, and huge vocal hooks that'll have any romantic swooning before sliding into a riff-ruled bridge sure to have you honestly and completely hooked on a single that insists you listen again and again.

With a flawless production of balanced beats, easy vocals, eloquent lines, and a careful but moving melody, the whole track plays out so strikingly clever that it's nearly impossible to believe it's off a debut album and we can't wait to hear more.

Check out the single, look for Morgan's forthcoming album, Manifesto, to be released later this year, and catch up with the artist in his interview here.

Save Your Love by E

We've been digging everything Drawing North has been teasing from El Dorado and if you haven't already fallen for their sound, now's the time to do so, because "Save Your Love" is ready to top your Spring jams and play out your Summer plans.

An easy mix of pure pop and irrepressible energy with the band's signature articulate and romantic lyrics, you can just as easily blast "Save Your Love" on your way to the first festival of the season or lay back and soak in their undoubtedly underrated production and impressive lyrical ability. Pure riffs, a pretty but smart melody, charming verses, and an impossibly huge stadium ready chorus gives "Save Your Love" all the makings of a Summertime hit.

Seriously, the precision with which Drawing North's music is crafted - without losing its personality or authenticity - has us not so patiently awaiting the release of the Australian five-piece's forthcoming album, El Dorado. Check out the single, catch up with the band in their interview with us, and head to all those sites below for much more.

Avey Tare Said by E

Hypnotic and winding, Rollercoasterwater's "Avey Tare Said" holds clear roots against an open production in a perfectly psychedelic twisting of melodies and staggered beats.

Dreamy and atmospheric, the single clings to a singularly hopeful theme while drifting away in airy synths and steady rhythms with a backstory as sweet and honest as the track itself, so check out the single and head to all those sites below for more from Los Angeles duo Rollercoasterwater.
