Carousel Ride by E

Interesting lyrics and Traver's fun and lilting vocals are mirrored by the video for Rubblebucket's latest single, "Carousel Ride", which takes you on a crazy ride you won't want to end.

Desperate lines "round and round and round I go, hoping for a miracle, I've got no place to run and hide, guess I'll take a spin on the carousel ride" are matched perfectly with the urgency of releasing the video's alien prisoner while a trippy melody falls in step with the risky plan of escape.

It really all comes down to the uniquely addictive sound of Traver's full vocals; there's something about them that can keep any song interesting, but add in the band's rambunctious rhythms, twisted synth, sweet piano melody, inarguably fun brass, and flat out infectious harmonies and it's near impossible to not fall for Rubblebucket's sound.

The acoustic video shows the band's indelible talent and there's something to be said about a band that sounds just as great recorded in studio as live; it's absolutely fantastic, the video should convince you to fall for the band's music, and Traver's dancing to the song is all of us dancing to the song while sitting at our computers.

Sunshine by E

Fragile Creatures' "Sunshine" is the alternative pop piece you've been looking for all summer.

Sweet chords catch a fun rhythm perfectly while a fun bass line offers up a riff as infectious as awesome lines "in the dark times we can make our own sunshine, just abandon all our crutches and tear off all our disguises, cause tomorrow can have a beautiful meaning, while you were away my dear I gave my heart to the world, she's in love with me, I am hers and she is mine".

You couldn't ask for a catchier guitar riff, sweeter trilling keys, or better control over these lines; even with so many things going on at once, the track manages to stay in solidly infectious order.

Satisfying vocals deliver articulate lyrics throughout before the sweet repetition of "there's a burning bright sun on the horizon, it's great to stay up late and watch the sun rising" drops off abruptly, creating a track as warm, addictive, and over all too soon as the title promises.

Head to the sites to hear more great music from the band and follow Fragile Creatures' accounts to stay updated on the release of their forthcoming album.

Streets by E

The Occupants' "Streets" hits perfectly; with a double beat that contains both a relaxingly 'homey' feel and a waltz rhythm the track is so easy to move along to and an emotionally driven progression is amplified by the occasional vocal sample that fits snugly into a track that breathes of driving around in your car with the windows down.

Alluring vocals suck you in with ease with superb lyrics "gonna pack my shit up, I'm gonna ride away, leave my worries behind and just slide away", "I've been looking too long through this window, always waiting around for tomorrow, I've been dreaming of streets that I don't know, just a killing some time and it feels so low", and the perfectly put "I don't feel like sitting round here anymore, I'm going outside, everything is right outside my door" running over hauntingly sweet riffs, a lulling rhythm, and an assuredly steady progression.

The softly put chords and eloquent lyrics speak honestly alongside an undeniably catchy rhythm; listen to The Occupants' "Streets" below and head to the sites to hear more from the band.

Like A Drug by E

Queen of Hearts' (pseudonym of Liz Morphew) "Like A Drug" wastes no time in introducing its heavy beats, with a dance-worthy rhythm pulling you into the song immediately and the repetitive "you give me a rush, love feels like a drug" giving you something to sing along with on first listen.

The fun vocal hook that plays throughout only adds to the overall feeling of 'dance floor anthem' inherent in the track while great lines "time doesn't always play on your side, when your heart starts to defy, and you hold onto tears that you can't cry, I'm crushed by every moment spent with you" are hidden within the simple and fun refrains.

Interchanging shots in the video lend to the EDM track's hypnotic quality while the simple concept mirrors repetitive lyrics and an addictive beat forces you to dance along.
