Fire by E

Latest single from Gavin DeGraw sees the music moving towards a more structured pop production but the effortlessly smooth jazz undertones are still in full force with soulful melodies, full rhythms, and urgent lyrics.

Fun lines "let's start a riot tonight, a pack of lions tonight, in this world, he who stops won't get anything he wants, play like the top one percent, till nothing's left to spent, we don't care, we won't stop, call your mothers, call the cops" stand in seemingly innocent opposition to DeGraw's achingly pure vocals but the easy transition from anger to "oh, ever since the dawn of mankind, we all belong to a tribe, it's good to know this one's mine" shows off the authentically smooth quality inherent in all of DeGraw's work.

Gavin DeGraw will be releasing his next album, Finest Hour: The Best of Gavin DeGraw, featuring new singles "You Got Me" and "Fire", October 21st; look for the pre-order on iTunes soon.

Stowaways by E

Fragile Creatures' "Stowaways" heads in a completely different direction than their last single, "Sunshine", yet the haunting track still manages to feel just right with the versatile band's consistently catchy riffs and articulate lyrics.

Wandering guitar riffs, fun piano lines, and a sweet bass are held together by a steady rhythm and pure vocal hooks while the urgent chorus hits sweetly with lines "and we will stow away upon the first ship out of here, we'll float into outer space, yeah we'll disappear, and the world seems very small now from the window of this vessel, and we don't know where they're taking us" landing in an impossibly catchy melody that will be running around your head all day.

The House by E

Air Traffic Controller's impossibly addictive single "The House" holds a hard hitting down beat that's set off by a light and running synth line in an endearingly sweet return to pop basics that reminds you why you fell in love with the genre in the first place.

Fun riffs and a danceable melody are pulled together by a prominent rhythm while alluringly smooth vocals hold your attention with lines "we had the house where everybody came, we had the music, we played the games, and nobody's parents worried 'bout mine, my mother never left one child behind" and "this was the house where everybody goes, so much to see in every window, the band's in the basement putting on a show, and the girls in the living room playing Nintendo" which perfectly encapsulate the love you have for your childhood home.

I'll Be With You by E

Latest single from Flora Cash's forthcoming album features a satisfyingly full composition as seamlessly smooth as the duo's addictive vocal harmonies.

The recurring vocal hook plays sweetly with a light and steady piano line while a reassuringly full guitar and fun back beat gives the track its upbeat and lively feel which mixes intriguingly with Cole and Shpresa's back and forth "I recall you said to me that if it ends it's meant to be, but I don't like that attitude no more / I recall the things I said and that came out from in my head, not my heart" that is as honest as it is adorable.

Add in a sweet chorus that states "lover, just remember, come whatever, I'll be with you" in perfect harmony while the track's dynamics surge and this may be the most addictive single released by Swedish/American duo Flora Cash.
